A Yankee doodle dandy

LITTLE Lewys James' doodling may earn his family a magical holiday in California - and he's just seven!
The Coedpenmaen Primary pupil has been crowned the best in Wales in his age group in the Doodle 4 Google competition and is through to the finals with a week for four in the USA as top prize.
The modest youngster said: 'I like the Internet and most things, especially football and computer games.
'I feel fabulous about being the best in Wales.'
Lewys lives in Silver Hill Close, Cilfynydd, with dad Mark, little brother Ioan and mum Nicole who said: 'We're enormously proud of him.'
He and other classmates were encouraged to enter the competition - forming the word 'Google' with pictures associated with their communities - where the winners will get a VIP tour of the Google headquarters in California and an all expenses paid holiday

Doodling may not normally be encouraged in class, but 11-year-old Nathan's work could become familiar to everyone who uses Google. Google's logo on its home page known as a doodle changes regularly, often celebrating different people, events or special dates. The doodles are usually designed by 'doodler' Dennis Hwang
